Kaup, Oct 1: Fishermen had a gala time at Moloor beach near here as they got hundreds of stingrays which have high demand in the market.

One fish weighs nearly 50 kg and will fetch a price of Rs 250 to Rs 300 per kg in the market. Hundreds of curious onlookers gathered at the beach to see the rare sight.

The fishermen had to tie the fishes to the wooden log in order to carry them as they are heavy and cannot be lifted manually.

Of late, variety of fishes are available in huge numbers on various beaches in the district of Udupi.

    It is not a bountiful harvest...there is some unusual underground activity beneath the sea which could have triggered these fish to come on to the land...maybe a Tsunami might be occuring soon

    This is nothing to rejoice but a clear sign of warning that all is not well in our seas and oceans. Due to the damages to the environment and rising oceans all unusual things and events are happening. Uneven rains pattern, rising temperatures, frequent floods, cyclones and devastating hurricanes are clear signs that our planet earth is changing due to man made disasters. Anyway, now enjoy the thorakhe gassie and sukka........!!!

    Highest person ruling in center told children … climate change is imagination. We are seeing the fallout due to industries in undivided coastal Karnataka. We have MRPL and other chemical plants that give employment to outsiders and also pollute nature. Why do we need industries that pollute our rivers, lakes , rivulets, underground bodies and the sea. Rains today in October was never witnessed past year or decades back. 3g or 4g mobile network came and small birds such as sparrows and even crows vanished or are vanishing. 5G is coming soon, hope our political class along with high end industrialists vanish also, my prayer. We need a clean India today and tomorrow.

    Everyday different types of fish are landing in large nos could be the result of some abnormal seismic or volcanic activities going on in the seabed!! Some oceanographic/seismology expert would better be able to answer these strange events?

    I have never heard of such repeated incidences where sardines, baby sharks and stingrays in huge numbers seen at the beaches. Is it gala time for people is it a kind of warning or omen about some natural disasters striking in near future???

    Looks like something strange is happening in the ocean, Few days back Sardines then Mackeral and now sting rays. There is some danger lurking as the fishes are getting washed ashore. When earthquakes are due the birds and fishes are the first one to respond
