Udupi, Oct 3: Energy minister Sunil Kumar said that with regards to hike in electricity tariff, the rules brought about by the previous governments are continuing. This system which was brought by Congress is burdening the commoners.
Speaking to scribes on Sunday, Sunil said, “Our government has not made any new rule. I have appealed to the chief minister to rethink on the existing system. We will think on the rule of readjustment of electricity tariff once in three months. I will discuss on the pros and cons with the CM soon and will not hesitate to withdraw the rule if needed.
“Congress does not have the moral right to speak on the common man CM and corruption. Corruption is the trade mark of Congress. Their leaders are on bail in corruption cases. They are doing Bharath Jodo march with clarity of their ideals. It is better if Congress tries to unite their party workers first,” he said.
