Riyadh: Kids, Adults Rejoice in Easter Celebrations

Riyadh, Apr 30: The much-awaited programme on Easter was celebrated in Riyadh in a memorable way on Thursday April 28. More than a hundred Catholic community people along with their families and a few bachelors gathered to make the belated celebration on Jesus’s resurrection a grand success.

The whole programme was conducted by children below 15 years. Dion D’Souza from Kalmadi and Eden D’Sa from Pangla compered. The gathered crowd was warmly welcomed by Jovin Sanctis of Shirva. The prayer was led by Maria Mathias from Kalathur, Shirva and Savita Aranha of Niddodi.

Stany Aranha Paladka, an active member of up and coming Saudi Konkan Group (SKG) delivered a beautiful and meaningful Easter message to one and all.

The crowd was on its toes when the Hindi popular song "Sheela Ki Javani" was performed by a group of children in the form of a fabulous dance choreographed by young Eden D’Sa. Konkan Kogul, the late Wilfy Rebimbus, was remembered by one and all when "Ravi Budon Gelo….Pascanscho vel ailo", a meaningful song was sung by Lancy Moras Bajjodi and group. Various games were conducted for children, men, women and couples by Ida D’Souza, Kalmadi and Jyothi Sanctis of Shirva. Spot games were an added attraction conducted by Royston and Amitha Prabhu from Bejai.

Eldrin Sequiera of Perampalli led the grace prayer before the dinner followed by the delicious food served to the entire crowd, arranged by Stany Cardoza of Paladka and Gilbert Sequiera of Doddanagudde. Housie housie, conducted by Vincent Sanctis of Sampige, added more spice to the programme. Vote of thanks was proposed by Kavin Mathias from Pilar, Shirva

The whole cultural programme was smoothly organized by Anita D’Sa of Pangla, along with Eric D’Sa and Jyothi Sanctis.

Congrats & Delighted to see all loved ones through Daiji world news. Hope entire Riyadh crowd was rocking through - Sheila Ki Jawani! May God bless the little ones who performed and the one who choreographed the Dance? Young talents were well appreciated .Hats off to the organizers who tired to make the event so gracefully. All the little ones keep up your talents. Let the spirit of community ever grow! Blessed Easter 2011. All the Best for the upcoming Events.

A wonderful, fabulous, memorable and a high class organized event with Easter celebration can't be forgotten easily by one who was present in person who is none other than me a primary witness who attended with my family to this well systematized merriment. Well…Well…Children rocked the unbroken advanced constructed occasion I must say. Full marks to premier organizer Mrs. Anita D'Sa Pangla despite of her busy schedule and the supporting organizers Mr. Eric D'sa Pangla and Mrs. Jyothi Sanctis of Shirva for the grand success. Mr. Stany Cardoza take a bow I say for the splendid better-quality food served to the flocked crowd. Special thanks to him.

I have a straight from my heart thanking word to the organizers for inviting me in advance and giving me a chance for reminding the crowd late Wilfy Rebimbus's musical memories by way of a far-fetched meaningful number "Ravi Budon Gelo" voicing with a group of people and sweet little children. God bless all who were behind the screen to make this celebration a heavenly success!!
