The Congress Party is no longer in election-winning mode, it is in self-preservation mode. Shashi Tharoor would have been a brilliant choice but the Gandhis know that he has a built-in destruct button that will wipe out the Gandhis and other dead wood.

Only hope is for Doctor Shashi Tharoor to head the Grand Old Congress Party which is in the ICU …. Old Guard Kharge only fit to carry out the orders by Ghandhi family ….. in the unlikely event of Kharge winning rest assured Congress will be HISTORY.

The ambition of Gandhis to make their most competent Mr. Rahiul Gandhi ( at least as they believe), will not let them accept anyone other than a puppet to become Congress President. They always look for some not so popular leader like Shashi Tharoor, or someone with less years of career left with him ( like Manmohan Singh, Gehlot etc.) only. I am not concerned that what Gandhis think about their self obsessed family, the real problem is other congress man, those still are not able to think beyond people of foreign origin ( as their predecessors always did) for leadership.
