Mangaluru, Oct 7: State BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel said that the Bharath Jodo Yatra which Rahul Gandhi has undertaken will create more rift in Karnataka Congress and now he is facing the challenge of uniting Siddaramaiah and D K Shivakumar.

Speaking to scribes, Nalin further said, “Congress in Karnataka is further damaged due to internal fighting and groupism. This is more evident in the Bharath Jodo foot march of Rahul Gandhi.

“I have already said that the foot march done by Rahul Gandhi is not Bharath Jodo but Bharath Chodo. Congress has divided the country. It has also bifurcated the country on the basis of caste, religion and sects. As a repentance for their bad deeds it has undertaken this foot march. People of Karnataka have understood the drama of Congress. They have not welcomed the foot march. Leader of Congress are pressurising MLAs to gather people for the march,” he said.

Answering the query on upgradation of Bikkarnakatte-Sanur national highway, Nalin said, “Work is already begun. Trees are cut. In some areas landlords have approached the court. Excepting these areas, the work will be undertaken at other places.”
