Mangaluru, Oct 7: The II JMFC court of Mangaluru has granted bail to a couple who created a ruckus in the taluk office here for harassing and making them wait for four days in their struggle and demand to get caste and income certificates for a few students.

Advocate Mohandas Pai argued in favour of the accused.

The aged couple Maxim Joseph Noronha and Sunitha Marina Noronha are residents of Konchady Yeyyadi who got the bail.

A case was registered against the couple in Pandeshwar police based on a complaint filed by taluk office case worker staff Alvisha Priscilla D’Souza to tahsildar Purandar Hegde for using foul language in abusing and physically assaulting the staff.

The couple were remanded to judicial custody by a court.

Meanwhile, Mangaluru taluk tahsildar Purandar Hegde has been recently jailed following a recent indictment by the Lokayukta which the police termed as a coincidence.

Yet an elderly couple who should have been given concessions for expressing their frustration ...and their grievances quickly heard and resolved and sent back to their homes .... if required delaying officers suspended . On the contrary further harassment...

No doubt its a govt./public Office where, whoever it is, should not abuse or assualt the Govt. servant on duty. The aggrieved public should lodge a complaint to the higher authorities may be Dy.Commissioner or appropriate authority about their plight may be delaying to attend their work and make them struggling. Govt. with regard to Senior citizens has issued orders to do their works immediately without making them wait unnecessarily. Harassing the public in Govt. offices should be stopped .
