Puttur: Young girl accidentally falls into pond, dies

Puttur, Oct 9: A young girl accidentally fell into a pond near her house and died.

Suraksha Jain (23), daughter of Naravi Gram Panchayat member and Arasikette resident Rajaverma Jain, is the deceased.

Suraksha was returning from her uncle’s house nearby and fell accidentally into the pond. Though her brother immediately jumped into the pond, she could not be saved.

Father of the deceased Rajaverma Jain also collapsed due to shock and has been taken to Manipal hospital for treatment. It is said that Suraksha Jain had completed her degree and was at home.

Venur police visited the spot and registered a case.
