Udupi, May 2: On the occasion of reformed ICYM unit at St Theresa’s Church Kemmannu, ICYM members organized the 14th music concert of Kevin Misquith and Milestone band in the church premises here on Saturday April 30.

In the formal stage function parish priest J P D’Souza presided over the function and said that youth play a vital role in the church activities. If the youth organization in the church is very active it is a matter of pride, he added.

He urged all the parishioners to extend their support in building a good ICYM unit in the church.

Michael Rodrigues, former ICYM president was the chief guest. He said that the year mainly dedicated to the youth and they should make full use of the opportunity. He hoped that the reformed unit may carry out several good works in future.

Rony Menezes, vice-president, parish pastor council, Arun, animator of the ICYM unit and Anish D’Souza, president of the unit, were present on the dais.

The ICYM members felicitated the parish priest for his support in reforming the unit. Kevin Misquith was also felicitated by the parish priest. All the sponsors of the event were also felicitated on the occasion.

Anish D’Souza, president ICYM Kemmannu church welcomed the gathering. Navy Menezes, secretary ICYM Kemmannu church delivered the vote of thanks. Vivek Cornelio compered the programme.

Following the felicitations, Kevin Misquith with his team of young and prolific performers performed their music concert. Kevin's superhit numbers like Mhoeja Anja, Kenna Kenna, Hee Jeenn, Kalza
Thar, Yo Moga, Kaliz Bullam and others were presented. Singers like Royston Pinto, Prajoth D’Sa , Carol Monteiro, Ashwin Sequeria and Kevin sang the beautiful numbers mesmerizing the crowd, while Jackson Noronha, Patson Pereira, Rikith Soans and Ashwin scored the background music.

Alwyn Pernal, Arun Pernal and Melwyn Pernal of the Bindaas Pernal fame enacted the jokes. The young dancers of Milestone team accompanied the singers during the performances. Alwyn Danthi Pernal and Kevin Misquith compered the programme.

The show was well appreciated by the crowd as it was one of the rare Konkani music nites in the area.

    good show specially the 3 anchors alwy,arun,kevin have made the show rocking, jokes were superb songs ion was wonderful, if u bring at least 2 female singers it will be better

    The tribute medley was superb and above all the last song its also my fav song Hee Jeenn, it was a rocking song and rocking performances..
