First impression looks like heavily intoxicated driving... Young blood never will agree before hitting the steering after seemingly too much drink or other... Road ahead looks inviting and automatically legs press gas more... When they slowly drift to one side it is rather too late... Take an auto or walk it or sleep under a tree or shop front... That is better than punishing the unconnected and innocent... RIP to the departed... Wishing speedy recovery to the injured...

A person consuming alcohol should take an auto or taxi home. Serving alcohol in hotels is not an issue as they need business and pay all kind of taxes and additional too!

This is a drug case. There should be life imprisonment for “Hit and run” case. Check all Paan shop who sell drugs and police knows it.

High time to curb the menace of locals and students who drink and drive and especially, why they choose to haunt Manipal when drunk is absolutely senseless. I found out that just another episode one and half year back robbed the jeweller Rayappa Shet of his life, when he went out to buy milk. There should be RI for such cases in Manipal especially and Udupi. Temple town is filled with senior citizens and their health and life must be protected at all costs. Our elders have years of valuable experience that they can teach us, so we must protect them, from such careless drunkards.
