Oct 10: No Covid cases reported in Dakshina Kannada, 4 infections in Udupi

Mangaluru/Udupi, Oct 10: Dakshina Kannada on Monday, October 10, reported zero coronavirus cases while four cases were registered in Udupi.

The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,37,086, out of which 22 are currently active. As many as 2 patients were discharged on October 10.

No deaths were reported on October 10. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,860.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authorities.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

Four coronavirus cases were reported on October 10. The total active Covid cases are 21.

A total of 10,90,765 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,85,436 have received both doses and 2,92,952 people have received booster doses.

Udupi taluk reported one case while three infections were from Kundapur taluk. All four cases reported were symptomatic.
