Dubai: Lancy, Troupe, Set to Present Maiden Musical Nite

Dubai, May 3: Countdown has begun for Dubai’s much-awaited show, ‘Lancy’s Maiden Musical Nite’. Elaborate preparations are under way to present what promises to be the best show in Dubai, which will be fortified with a large number of songs and skits. The programme is scheduled for May 6 at Dubai’s well-known Sheikh Rashid Auditorium at the Indian High School Dubai. It will be a special tribute to the late Ivan Noronha, who was gifted with a melodious voice, and who passed away last year. Lancy refers to him as his mentor.
This will be the first musical show to be presented by Lancy Norohna, who formed a musical group ‘Shylan’, in Dubai in 2008. He is a versatile artiste presently residing in Dubai. He has been composing, tuning, and singing a number of devotional and other songs for a range of organizations and various occasions in Dubai and India.
Lancy Noronha will be supported by veteran Konkani singer and composer, Prem Lobo, from Mangalore, and Kenny from Mumbai, who had enthralled the audience here in Dubai last Friday during 'Daiji Darbar'

Local talents like Dony Correa, Asha Correa, Mario Rego, Ronald Lobo, Yash Pinto, Lanita Noronha, Shyna Noronha, Reshma, Jerina Lewis, Vinod Rodrigues, Vincent Rodrigues, apart from the man behind this show, Joseph Mathias, who was recently seen singing a duet with Henry D’Souza at the Daiji Darbar, will also be part of the upcoming show. Joseph Mathias, who is the backbone of this musical evening, is a strong supporter of Konkani culture, music and art in the UAE as well as back home. An entrepreneur by profession, Joseph has great love for music and has talent in singing too. He will accompany and support Lancy in the musical show.
Mangalore’s numero uno comedy duo of Jerry and Joseph are once again set to transport the audience to the world of comedy at this show, following their successful show in Dubai last week.
Noted music director, Ramiro, will provide music for the entire show.
Uttam Menezes, who has plenty of experience in hosting shows in the Middle East and in India, will compere the show.
