Oct 11: Dakshina Kannada reports six Covid cases, one infection in Udupi

Mangaluru/Udupi, Oct 11: Dakshina Kannada on Tuesday, October 11, reported six new coronavirus cases while one case was registered in Udupi.

The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,37,092, out of which 26 are currently active. As many as 2 patients were discharged on October 11.

No deaths were reported on October 2. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,860.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authorities.

Positivity rate for the day stood at 1.36 percent.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

One coronavirus case was reported on October 11. The total active Covid cases are 18.

A total of 10,90,772 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,85,438 have received both doses and 2,93,074 people have received booster doses.

Karkala taluk reported one case.
