HC Refuses to Hear Morani's Bail Plea

New Delhi, May 3 (PTI) The Delhi High Court today refused to hear the bail plea of Cineyug Films Director Karim Morani, chargesheeted by the CBI in the 2G spectrum case, and asked him to approach the trial court first.

"The propriety demands that before approaching the High Court, the petitioner (Morani) should approach the CBI court for bail as I do not have the advantage over the charge sheet, which is available with the special court," Justice Ajit Bhariohoke said while dismissing Morani's plea.

Following the order, Morani's counsel Mukul Rohatgi withdrew the bail plea.

Morani had moved the Delhi High Court yesterday for bail, apprehending that he too would be arrested like some of the other accused once he appeared before the special CBI court set up to try the 2G case.
