Mangaluru/Udupi, Oct 13: Dakshina Kannada on Thursday, October 13, reported six new coronavirus cases while six cases were registered in Udupi.

The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,37,099 out of which 23 are currently active. As many as three patients were discharged on October 13.

No deaths were reported on October 13. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,860.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authorities.

Positivity rate for the day stood at 0.78 percent.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

Six coronavirus cases were reported on October 13.The total active Covid cases are 19.

A total of 10,90,788 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,85,733 have received both doses and 2,95,290 people have received booster doses.

Udupi registered six cases while Kundapur and Karkala reported zero cases.
