Mangaluru: CCB police arrest 4 for stealing raw materials, cheating firm

Mangaluru, Oct 13: CCB police have arrested an employee of Bright Packaging Private Limited and three others for stealing raw materials used for plastics received from Gujarat worth crores of rupees and for cheating the company.

The arrested are Mahesh Kulal (38), a resident of Kapikad, Mangaluru, Ananta Sagar (39), a resident of Shaktingar, Mangaluru, Sai Prasad (35), a resident of Kadandale, Mangaluru and Kiran Samani (53), a resident of Tamil Nadu.

The accused are said to have sold the items that they had stolen. Mahesh Kulal had bought luxury cars, land, and salons. He also invested the money in the capital market and fixed deposits.

Six mobile handsets, four laptops, a desktop computer, a Hyundai car, a Renault car, a Santro car and a lorry together worth Rs 74 lacs have been confiscated from the accused.
