Bantwal, Oct 13: Lacs worth of gold chain was stolen from the neck of an elderly lady returning home from work in an auto rickshaw at Bandaribettu on October Wednesday.

Victim Meenakshi Bandaribettu, lost her four sovereign gold chain worth Rs 1.5 lacs. She had bought groceries at a shop at Kallimar and was travelling in a service rikshaw to Bantwal.

There were three other stranger women in the rikshaw. Meenakshi was made to sit in the middle by them. Meenakshi came to know that her chain was missing when she got down at Bandaribettu.

The three women got down at the bypass road and enquired with the rikshaw driver regarding buses going towards Karkal. A case in this connection is registered at Bantwal town police station.

    Still our women dont understand or dont want to understand.Why wear a lacs worth gold chain when going to work or shopping ?We get fake chains looks and exactly same.in Bazar.wear them .Now no use of crying.We know robbery is increased since long.People know the trick in bus and ricksha to steal without owners knowledge.Hope she learnt the lesson.

    Satish mangalore ,nowadays feeling and tears have no value for some.Only matters mone ,gold ,property whatever it costs.Previously one was giving more value to humans .it is gone now.These people are only working where easy money will be made without hard working.
