Dharwad, Oct 14: State BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel said Congress has learnt padayatra yatre lessons from the BJP which had helped the party storm to power.
Speaking to reporters here, he said BJP had come to power after holding many padayatres while Congress has begun padayatra now.
He said none can equal B S Yediyurappa in terms of the number of padayathres that he had taken up. The number of cycle rallies done by him cannot be equalled, Kateel said.
Alluding to the challenge thrown at Yediyurappa by Siddaramaiah for holding a 2-km padayatre, Kateel said no one has embarked on so many padayatres as Yediyurappa had taken up.
"Siddaramaiah had begged and fallen at the feet of the leaders to become the chief minister. He had also fallen at Deve Gowda's feet to make a mark and grow in his political career," Kateel said.
