Mangaluru/Udupi, Oct 14: Dakshina Kannada on Friday, October 14, reported four new coronavirus cases while five cases were registered in Udupi.

The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,37,103 out of which 19 are currently active. As many as seven patients were discharged on October 14.

One death was reported on October 14. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,861.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authorities.

Positivity rate for the day stood at 0.64 percent.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

Five coronavirus cases were reported on October 14.The total active Covid cases are 18.

A total of 10,90,787 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,85,735 have received both doses and 2,95,247 people have received booster doses.

Udupi registered four cases while Kundapur added one case and Karkala reported zero cases.
