'Serve only branded tea to CM' - Congress shares video of officials telling Dalit family

Vijayanagara, Oct 15: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and former chief minister B S Yediyurappa had breakfast at a Dalit household in a village near Hospet on Wednesday. They were on a visit to the village as part of the Jana Sankalpa Yatra that the BJP had commenced.

Now, a video shared by Congress has gone viral. In the video, officials are clearly seen directing the Dalit family to serve only branded tea and packed tea to BJP leaders including Bommai and Yediyurappa.

Basavaraj Bommai and Yediyurappa were accompanied by tourism minister Anand Singh, water resources minister Govind Karjol and other BJP leaders during their visit to the village. The leaders had breakfast at a house in Kamalapura in Vijayanagara district and later the CM's office shared the pictures and the videos of the event.

    At the time of election Our political leaders will remember to have breakfast , lunch & dinner in Dalit's house. Rest of the time they need big resort for the horse business. Everything is Drama for the power nothing else.

    These BJP fellows are hypocrites. How can they demand from a poor Dalit family buy branded tea powder? If the government official had given them money to buy the branded tea powder it would be justified. This expose reveals their mindset towards the poor.

    Is it only because of some big advertisement ?to get votes ?Or to tease PEE party?When one goes to any house ,has to accept what they give thinking they will give fair and be honest.Shouldnt wait to give branded or normal one.I prefer normal well water or tee from nearby shop powder form..Dont think they afford togive you highend food.Be simple and human.

    Instead of going to Dalit's houses for food, why don't you invite these Dalits to your houses, Cook food in your house, and serve food inside your house in the same Battal {Plates} you use in your house? OK, Can you do that?

    Instead of doing this drama better To do Work In offices uplifting the poor AND needy .. Why burden and waste time ..chief minister should utilise time better ... Are they justifying poverty or what is the message .... The motto should be to work and provide jobs .. encourage Investment.. provide job security .. Have Zero or near zero corruption.. Today’s politics.....They have old maharajah mindset .. olden days mere visit used to be enough of maharajah only to the town or passing by .....     Before commenting kindly ask all the politicians after there gram vasthavya... And other photo ops what they eat and from where they eat.... You cannot have a CM with loosies attending public gathering!!! Not everyone can have food at others place we know that.
