Bantwal: Minor girl suspected kidnapped traced in Uppinangady, disowned by parents

Bantwal, Oct 16: A minor girl who went missing two days ago from Pandawarakallu was traced in Uppinangady.

A kidnap case was registered at Punjalkatte police station as per a complaint by her parents.

Punjalkatte police who investigated the case traced the girl in Uppinangady. Later, they brought her to the station.

It is suspected that the neighbour of the girl Naushad had reportedly kidnapped her on Friday.

Reportedly, he had left her in Uppinangady and fled to Mysuru.

After gaining proper information, Punjalkatte SI Suthesh and the staff traced the girl.

The girl has been subjected to a medical examination. After her parents refused to take her home, she was sent to a remand home located in Moodbidri.

Police have also informed the Child Welfare Committee.

    The parents are utterly callous and if anyone is living in the area, please find a good lawyer who can file a case for maintenance, under the Family Act. She's a minor girl and her father is expected to maintain her till marriage or till she is alive, if a spinster. Someone, please go to the local police station and file a complaint on her behalf, God will bless you. Mention to the officer, you are an unrelated third party and you saw this article and on behalf of the girl, you are filing the FIR. By virtue of Section 125(1) (c), an unmarried daughter even though she has attained majority is entitled for maintenance, where such unmarried daughter is by reason of any physical or mental abnormality or injury is unable to maintain itself. The Scheme under Section 125(1) Crpc.

    It is sad that the daughter is rejected by her own parents who should be her support at this time of her need. We dont know the real story. Children and adults - we all make mistakes in life. If parents can not be by her side, who else will be her pillars. I personally feel the kidnapper as well as the parents should be penalized for this heinous act of kidnapping/disowning. May the Lord keep this kid in His protection till she is old enough to know right from wrong.

    ca girishkk Valencia mangalore ,what I think of your question why Hindu girls runaway with hindu boys,because of dowry money gold they have to pour in during marriage and even in laws making them to bring even after marriage first .And second hindus mostly bring in a caste system ,and hard to cope with them .Higher the amount when girl or boy is studied ,upper class and Down class etc.Dalits not accepted .Many roads to cross and girl becomes middle aged.This is only my thoughts

    It appears the parents had their consent for their daughter to move forward with her wish., may be some thotte giraki's would have influenced the parents to file a complaint..., in order to get their regular dose...!!!!! somewhere the calculation would have back fired.,

    You paint as though one section of soceity is very noble and other side is something vey immoral and all the ills emanate from the other Group. Open your eyes a little wide. see the world there is no RRS or Sangh pariwaar in Pakistan, Afghanistan & Bangladesh, these countries emerged from ancient geographical India. today see the voilence on minorities there. how many muslim Girls are kidnapped by Hindus there. Did ever such a thing happenned there? . Can you even mentally imagine such a thing happening? . Hindus are far more tolerant and they do not need any advise least of all from a thouroughly biased person like you.

    The question here is ... why Hindu Girls not runaway being Hindu boys..??? what 's lacking among Hindu boys.., Time to research on one thing which Hindu boys are not able to fulfill or match the qualities/strength of one particular community which probably cause & worth risking their futures..., despite tough laws in place & the existence of vigilantes.

    We have read, a father welcomes his prodigal son with open arms. Here, a girl is kidnapped and the parents refuse to take such an innocent girl back. Whatever the religion of the parents, I do not think they are normal people. Probably, since the parents are such, possibly, the girl may have run away from such cruel parents. Whatever the circumstances, Naushad should not have kidnapped her. Anyway, he will get his punishment under the law. And also, I condemn such cruel parents.

    It appears to be a case of the perpetrator luring the minor. As she is a minor, it would probably be a criminal offense even if she has gone with him voluntarily. Parents not accepting her back is a big mistake as minors are not capable of evaluating the consequences of their actions. Parents should be counselled to take her back. Victim also needs counselling.

    @ Dr. D'Souza, USA, Unlike the USA, in India (especially in villages) the entire family of the girl is put to shame and boycotted or ostracized by the whole community, which has even resulted in killing the innocent victim called “honour killing.” Here in this country the victim is made to suffer while the criminal roams freely. So the Indian society has to and must change its mindset and the law of the land must be strictly implemented against such culprits.

    I dont understand parents.When a minor girl is kidnapped and found parents refused to take back?Shock again for the girl second time.First by kidnapping ,second by parents.What this girls future will be ?Dothey understand?Whatever to girl happened parents should be happy to give her security and make her happy.Hope she will return to parents without problems.
