Karnataka reports 108 fresh Covid cases, positivity rate at 1.2 percent

Bengaluru, Oct 16: Karnataka on Sunday, October 16, reported 108 new coronavirus cases.

As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 2,982. Bengaluru urban's single-day tally is 56.

Two deaths were reported due to coronavirus in the state on Sunday. The death toll in the state has risen to 40,252.

The state recorded 58 discharges from hospitals on Sunday, taking the total discharges to 40,23,537.

So far, Karnataka has seen 40,66,813 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The positivity rate for the day stands at 1.2 %. As many as 12,03,56,699 people have received vaccination so far.
