A concept of public road has to be inculcated while driving .. Poor driver training by authorities before giving license .. Public roads are treated by some as if they own the road .. Reckless rash .. quarrel.. abusing after doing mistakes Enforce strict action

Some of the private mangalore city bus drivers and conductors are so arrogant and rude. They waste time at a place even if passengers are not there and then rush as though their pants are caught on fire t. Abusing women and men, not even waiting until they get inside the bus.

Very sad a innocent life just killed by the private killer bus mafia of the twin districts of Udupi and DK. Abolish the private killer bus mafia. There is no mention if the bus was a city, service or express.

Only one bus driver by name Govindanna who was Driving a SMMS bus from decades through Balkunje to Udupi via Kinnigoli-Belman route was holding a clean track record of driving without accident. He was giving side to any vehicle including two wheelers, cycles coming either from front or from behind, to pass through or overtake. His speed also limited, no rash driving. Such professional, calm drivers required on the busy roads of Mangalore.

In addition to bad roads and bad drivers Indian legal system is also responsible for the countless road casualties. Over here the killers are let off with a jail term of one or two months and penalty of Rs. 5 to 10,000 which in itself is a joke. For instance in UAE if someone is killed in a road accident, the person responsible has to stay in jail until and unless he pays an amount equal to Rs. 80 to 90 lakhs.

Toothless centuries old laws and spineless corrupt administrative systems with no value for human life are root causes for our road accidents. Leave alone the conditions of our roads whether of capital cities, towns and villages, majority of drivers and two wheeler riders are unfit to drive and ride on public roads. We are a over populated country and no one cares for the accidental deaths on ou roads. Politicians are busy blowing the same old trumpet just to stay in power without accountability. Whom you blame now .......!!!!!?????

Sad. A young life lost. RIP. Someone please enlighten me - if an object is tossed off at (under the wheels of) a moving bus, how can the driver avoid it ? Now everybody is talking about it's speed, if the crushing down hadn't taken place, would anybody have given a damn ??

RIP. Have lived all over India and can guarantee that twin districts bus service is the BEST. A similar number of govt busses is IMPOSSIBLE in ALL aspects time, volume, employment even safety.

Install Speed Governors.. Do not permit them to stop at stops for more time than required. (drop passenger ,pick up Passenger and move). They waste time at Stops and drive Recklessly to report to the next stop to meet their Time.... The Police should book them for overspeeding ,lack of Vehicle maintainence and blaring horns...

RIP.... Why the regions of DK, Udupi doesn't have more Govt buses???? Why its only private?? Why our regions do not have proper railway network whereas rest of India has access to local trains...?? SO many accidents happen due to private buses but yet they operate in more numbers in DK and Udupi districts... WHY?

Not one political party has the guts to take any action. The drivers and conductors of of this region behave very rash and talk about their unions. Police officials are dumb spectators. common people are taken for a ride. Is there any law to eradicate such elements.

Govt bus drivers are a lot better either. Unsafe driving is common for many unfortunately - including govt buses, pvt buses, school buses, lorries, etc. Stringent action should be taken by the authorities to ensure safe driving by all, heavy vehicles in particular.
