Mangaluru/Udupi, Oct 18: Dakshina Kannada on Tuesday, October 18, reported one new coronavirus case while three cases were registered in Udupi.
The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,37,113, out of which 20 are currently active. As many as six patients were discharged on October 18.
No deaths were reported on October 18. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,861.
The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authorities.
Positivity rate for the day stood at 0.19 percent.
So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.
Udupi
Three coronavirus cases were reported on October 18. The total active Covid cases are 16.
A total of 10,90,790 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,85,758 have received both doses and 2,95,354 people have received booster doses.
Udupi taluk reported three cases which were symptomatic.
