Mangaluru/Udupi, Oct 19: Dakshina Kannada on Wednesday, October 19, reported seven new coronavirus cases while four cases were registered in Udupi.
The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,37,123, out of which 22 are currently active. As many as 5 patients were discharged on October 19.
No deaths were reported on October 19. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,861.
The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authorities.
Positivity rate for the day stood at 1.33 percent.
So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.
Udupi
Four coronavirus cases were reported on October 19. The total active Covid cases are 16.
A total of 10,90,798 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,85,893 have received both doses and 2,96,489 people have received booster doses.
