Beltangady: Alleged Assault on Soldier by Bajrang Dal Activists

Daijiworld Media Network – Beltangady (SP)

Beltangady, May 7: Biju M J, son of M M Joseph from Neralemakki in Sakleshpur, has complained to the policemen here that he was assaulted by a group of youth, who claimed themselves to be Bajrang Dal activists. The incident occurred at around noon on Friday May 6 at Mundaje near here.

Biju, working for Indian Army, is presently posted at Assam. He had come to his native place on leave. He was on a visit to Mundaje along with his sister, in his motor bike. Some youth, who came in two motor bikes, intercepted Biju’s motor bike near the forest department’s nursery. Biju said in his complaint that the youth accosted him and assaulted him, chiding him for roaming around with a girl.

The assaulters have been identified as Harish, Lokesh, and Bommanna.  Some locals, who saw the skirmishes between the youth, stopped the assaulters. The assaulters are said to have claimed that they were Bajrang Dal activists, and that they had rushed to the spot after gathering information that a girl was being escorted illegally by Biju.

The passers-by then conveyed information to the local police, who came on the scene and arrested the assaulters. They also registered a case against them. Investigation is on.

I have been noticing that these so called moral police attack only poor and ordinary folk. What about the rich, bollywood or any other film industry in India. Are these activists afraid of the rich and mighty so they attack only poor and hapless people? This kind of hypocrisy in India has to stop. Shame on them!!!

I wish the police department uses their 3rd degree on those rascals, scoundrels and set those Bajrangi activists an example to remove their goonda giri out of our society. They are like pesticides to our community which needs to be cleaned completely before our society gets stagnated by them.

Oh GOD, please clean our society from Bajrangi disease.

From last few years mangalore is in the news for many wrong things like this attack, that attack, voilences etc. Mangalore was suppose to the be the next IT destination after bangalore, but since many wrong things are taking place in our city those companies have ped their plans of setting up their base in our town. Now those things were there only in the papers. I love my city Mangalore very much. I was in Bangalore for 6 years from 2003 to 2009 and always wished mangalore to grow like bangalore with many companies setting up their base in our town, but i could'nt see much of developments taking place in mangalore during those years.

Everyone knows that there were many wrong things took place in the past, but that doesn't mean that we have to think about those past things and try to create another new issue from that. We have to keep moving on with the changing generation. Changing generation doesn't mean that we have to forget our culture and traditions. That means that our city has to concentrate more on developments so that many new companies set up their base in mangalore and create more employment opportunities for young generations. I beleive if such wrong things keep continuing in mangalore, our city will definately not develop in future also and other small towns like hassan, shimoga etc might overtake our city in terms of development.

Complaining about BD is of no use, if police department wants to control these kinds Crime, they can do it with 15 minutes. My advise is catch those BD members and kick them all over and show no mercy attitude such way that they should feel the pain generation after generation.

Day local police take orders from BD leaders it shows moral bankruptcy of local police.....

Wait and see when BJP is kicked out,,, these thugs will run for cover......

Since presently only alternate for this BJP is CONgress ,,, people have just two options Firepan or Fire itself......

If this scene continues, days won't far away in DK, people will carry weapons to protect themselves. Then it will be worst than goonda raj.
Prevention is better than cure, the police personnel, govt. dept. community & leaders leaders should come out and give statement againt these black sheep of our community. They are acting worse than Afgan Taliban.

Reading such news makes people sick. The unemployed street
goons have no fear to bother and
attack the public! If a person
is walking or riding with his
    sister-wife-daughter or a neighbour
    is being attacked. These street
    rowdies deserve no mercy but
a long prison life and hard labour
at the jail. It seems like the
    Karnataka government is afraid
    of the street goons.

This is the heights of tolerance. This group of thugs Bajrang Dal should be disbanded right now. Assaulting a soldier is the highest sin. They cannot even defend their own home and they are attacking one who is ready to give his life for the nation.

Why these Bajrang Dal Activities taking so much interest on girls? Let them first learn to take care by them self going for a good job, having responsibilities of family, let them take care of their relatives, and their last their community. If any one is roaming with their family members girl then they can question only their girl not any one else.

Can our law and order be firm in this issue??

Police department must beat them to hell so they never make such act once again.

These things happen when government of the day is giving tactical support to these thugs. Even roaming with own sister has become a problem in Dakshin Kannada.

There is a necessity to have people's army to confront these cowards who can attack only the soft targets.
