Bantwal, Oct 23: A woman who was getting treated in a hospital after being stung by wasps succumbed to injuries in Bantwal Rural Police Station limits.
The deceased is identified as Meenakshi.
Meenakshi is a daily wager. It is said that two days ago while she was collecting dry wooden sticks on a road leading to the plot of Mahabala Alva this incident occurred.
A swarm of wasps in the wood she collected reportedly stung her. Immediately, to escape from the bites of insects, she moved to the residence of Mahabala Alva. Later, she was rushed to a private hospital in Deralakatte. However, she failed to respond to the treatment and breathed her last.
A case is registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station.
