Mangaluru/Udupi, Oct 25: Dakshina Kannada on Tuesday, October 25, reported one new coronavirus case while Udupi also added one case.

The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,37,147, out of which 21 are currently active. As many as six patients were discharged on October 25.

No deaths were reported on October 25. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,861.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authorities.

Positivity rate for the day stood at 0.62 percent.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

One coronavirus case was reported on October 25. The total active Covid cases are 17.

A total of 10,90,805 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,85,964 have received both doses and 2,97,142 people have received booster doses.

Udupi taluk reported one infection which was symptomatic.
