Mangaluru, Nov 2: Anugraha Educational institutions celebrated the 67th Kannada Rajyotsava with great fervor and enthusiasm. The celebration began with the rendition of Karnataka Nadageethe. The signification of the day was highlighted by shraddha of IX Std.
The principal Fr Vijay Lobo, in his speech said that, it is a day to rejoice and reaffirm our love for the culture of the land .
Addressing the gathering the correspondent Fr James Dsouza said that the people in this region speak different languages but it does not diminish the significance of Kannada language and its rich heritage.
The winners of the zonal level sports meet were felicitated. Higher primary students sang Kannada songs melodiously. Prabhakar Shetty welcomed the gathering and compered the programme.
