Bellary/B'lore: Sreeramulu Claims Threat to Life, Seeks Z-plus Security

Bellary/Bangalore, May 11 (PTI): Karnataka Health Minister B Sreeramulu, one of the mining magnets in the state, today said he has sought Z-plus security cover in the wake of "threats" to his life from naxalites.

Talking to reporters, Sreeramulu said he had been receiving life threats from naxals from Andhra Pradesh. On several occasions he had received threats over phone, the minister said.

Meanwhile Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa told reporters in Bangalore that he has received the request for enhanced security from Sreeramulu and it was being considered.

However, Home Minister R Ashoka said he was not aware of the request by Sreeramulu for Z-plus security cover.

    Why can't Sreeramulu buy off all the naxalites from his illgotten wealth? This fellow has made enough money for a few generations to live in luxury, he should not mind to spread some of his crookedly made fortune with some of his enemies. It has to be a win-win situation, my dear sreeramulu

    Wah Sreeramulu...I suggest you change your name. This pious name doesn't suit you. Give up all illegal work and have peaceful sleep instead of amassing wealth which will not give you company when you leave this world. Ofcourse, our Govt. has lot of public funds to give security to Ali Baba gang.
