Mangaluru: Lokayukta raids RTO check post at Talapady, scrutinises documents

Mangaluru, Nov 8: Lokayukta team led by SP Laxmiganesh raided RTO check post at Talapady and scrutinized all the documents till late night.

The Lokayukta team raided the RTO office at Karnataka-Kerala border and Talapady check post. Many accusations of RTO officials seeking bribe from truck drivers were brought to the notice of the authority earlier. It is learnt that the raid was conducted in the wake of public outcry.

The Lokayukta team raided the offices at 7 pm on Monday and the checking of documents continued till late in the night.

    when i was studing high school college ,vacation time i was accompanied with my father in truck mumbai to kerala ,i remember my father was giving money to give these RTO people,our records clean still we have to pay money.

    Don't Raid on 7:00pm evening. Please sit in any transport vehicle from KL Reg or MH Reg and check how they take bribe and ask openly " By........si deppuya ". experienced has a truck driver last month.
