Bangalore: BJP Registers Victory in All Three Constituencies

Bangalore: BJP Registers Victory  in All Three Constituencies

Daijiworld Media Network – Bangalore (SP)

Bangalore, May 13: Out of the three assembly seats in Karnataka for which by elections were held last month, result has come out in all of them. In Bangarpet constituency, BJP candidate, M Narayana Swamy, who crossed over from the Congress to BJP in Operation Kamala, has registered an emphatic victory, by polling 4,150 votes over and above his nearest rival, K M Narayanaswamy of the Congress, who polled 52,780 votes. Immediately after the result was announced, defeated JDS candidate, C Venkateshappa, who got only 9,255 votes, announced that he would be resigning from the party, blaming non-cooperative attitude on the part of local leaders of the JDS for his defeat.

C P Yogeshwar, S V Ramachandra and M Narayana Swamy

In Channapatna constituency, cine actor, C P Yogeshwar of the BJP, has been declared elected. He was steadily increasing his lead since the first round of counting. As M C Ashwath from the JDS, who had resigned from the JDS and joined the BJP, was reluctant to fight the by election, the BJP had fielded C P Yogeshwar here.

He won with a margin of 4,432 votes. Congress candidate, Raghunandan Ramanna, accepted his defeat publicly, even before the announcement of result officially.

The BJP candidate won from Jagalur constituency too. Its candidate, S V Ramachandra, was declared elected from here. His victory was never in doubt, as the margin of gap went on increasing with each round of vote counting since today morning. He defeated the Congress candidate by a margin of 13,335 votes. In this constituency, the performance of the JDS was very poor, as even an independent candidate polled more than the official JDS candidate.

BJP Bypoll Win Befitting Reply to Reckless Charges:Yeddyurappa

Bangalore, May 13 (PTI): Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today termed BJP's victory in all three seats in the April 9 bypolls as a befitting reply to the "reckless charges" hurled against his government by opposition Congress and JDS.

"People have now given their reply to the allegations made against my government. Let the opposition learn from this and desist from making baseless allegations hereafter," he said.

BJP candidates won from the Jagalur, Chennapatna and Bangarpet constituencies.

Yeddyurappa also thanked the electorate and complimented the winners.

JDS state unit President and former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy said victory or defeat is not a permanent phenomena in politics. "We are not perturbed by the defeat," he said.

He alleged that BJP had won the bypolls using money power and said JDS would chalk out plans to strengthen the party.

Shiva, mangalore, why you live in denial, how minoriteis treated in India by few political leaders & groups(RSS/VHP/BD) the news widely available in the internet.I don't have hatred towards any religion, what I wrote is reality and the news widely avilable in the internet.I wrote my opinion same like how others penned their opinion in this forum. The fact is that some of the political leaders try to bring dictator rule in the country they are ani-democratic, divide the country in the name of religion, region & community and caste, they attack only soft targets like orphanages, women&children, worshipers and worship places of minorites and these communal fight killed many in India and made people to live in fear in their own country.
Mr. Sudharshan Shetty you digest your own words,I only add to your comments.
Mr.Santosh,Udupi/Abudhabi,India being a democratic country we have choice to elect our own leaders, that is our own choice whom to elect as our leaders- who take the country to prospertiy, learn from mistakes and follow the laws/rules of the country, make the citizen to live in peace and harmony with each other & neighbours, pro-democratic or anti-democratic, or we need leaders who take the country backward, poverty stricken,anti-democratic,dictators rule, divide the country in the name of religion/region/caste/creed/community that is our own choice. We all have the right to pen our opinion here. There is no force imposed on any one to follow others opinion.

Who is behind the fastest growing India Economy since 1991: India economy, the third largest economy in the world, in terms of purchasing power, is going to touch new heights in coming years. As predicted by Goldman Sachs, the Global Investment Bank, by 2035 India would be the third largest economy of the world just after US and China
Trade liberalization, financial liberalization, tax reforms and opening up to foreign investments were some of the important steps, which helped Indian economy to gain momentum. The Economic Liberalization introduced by Dr.Man Mohan Singh in 1991, then Finance Minister in the government of P V Narsimha Rao, proved to be the stepping-stone for Indian economic reform movements.

Ramesh,Udupi, the day the silent mass raise up the day will be worst in the history of BJP,VHP,BD,RSS, the revolution can take place in Nepal,Egypt,Tunisia why not in Karnataka?

The Nepal Govt. blame Indian BJP,VHP for bringing instability in their country after- The world’s only Hindu state was d secular on May 28,2008 following the success of people’s movement that abolished the 240-year institution of monarchy in the country. In just 19 days, the people of Nepal– one of the poorest peoples on the globe – rose to inspire all the democratic forces on the globe. They demonstrated how a peaceful revolution could be conducted, and how the people could reclaim their sovereignty against all odds.Nepal Govt. claim that Hinduism not made any good to their country only left them backward and in poverty, every year the Hindu festivals cost in millions to govt. eventhough the country don't have proper roads and infrastructure.

@Sudharshan Shetty,Mangalore, I add to your comment, the illiterate poor people go to vote for a bottle of liquor not even know what is PM/MPs/CM/MLAs,few fanatics vote depend on religion, caste, region, community, that way the capable candidate left out to prove their ability in the country. When the educated people start to vote the system will change,it will change, people suffered enough.

Vote bank politics adopted by BJP really works with agendas such as Babri Masjid, Hindutva etc., Congress is so stupid they did not realize these tactics. Hence BJP already in power in Karnataka, They should concentrate on only developments leaving their vote bank politics aside. This would even boost more votes for them even from Minorities. TIME FOR PERFORMANCE.

    Congrats BJP!!!!!
This time Congress and JD(S) have made a complete fool of themselves.
All corrupt and incompetent governments were shown the door but why did BJP win?
    1. Congress and JD(S) did not fight elections jointly.
    2. They did not give large donations to temples or pose for photographs with Swami’s.
    3. They are pathetic in playing the Communal card.
    4. Money and Gangasara was not offered to the voter.
    5. No contact with the rural voter who vote by hearsay and think Yeddurappa is GOD.
    6. No stunts like moral policing or minority bashing.
    7. Failed to expose scams and frauds of BJP unlike Jayalalitha.
    8. I wonder if they are bribed to shut up and sit quietly in the opposition.

    Mr Nithin Poojary
If your comments make you happy so let it be. I admit i do not have any personnel grudge against him, also admit in this forum that mr JP was a among the few non corrupt leaders and mlore may be bit proud of him.Sure no doubt, may be he even more deserved to win than Nalin Kateel,I admit.
But what face does he have now nor what you have to defend him ?, first of all who asked him to challenge ?, when he challenged did he ask yeddi to resign at the same time ? NO..It came after 3 or 4 days that JP called another press confernece and asked yeddi to resign on some conditions.Am i correct ? Why was this ? Because by then he realised what damage he had done. Initially he dint ask anyone to accept it, he just threw it with over confidence. So he himself is reponsible for this situation not Yeddi for not accepting.People ignored JP long back. U have other important work. Today if JP is in this position its because of his same mouth which flayed Dr Veerendra Hegde once, tried his best to gap between Bunts & Billawas by using their ego issues & played his trumpcard & as best as any congresmen could be,never failed to impress his votebank(you know whom)by giving them 1 ladoo extraa than the rest and instigating the rest. All these things resulted in his downfall irrespective of his clean political carrier.
So accept the fact brother else if it makes you happy, be it brother you and JP both be happy, scratch each other's back & be happy & good luck

Secondly after that usual slip of toungue by JP about predicting future he then tried to do some damage control by challenging Yeddi to do the same realising his mistake. Yeddi nor anyone in BJP or karnataka gave importance to his usual press ststement nor did they respond. So how does this become rejection by Yeddi. This is like a sucidal by JP. Noone asked him to take snayas as everyone thought he was in sanyas after repeated defeats. Anyways good luck for next time.

I hope atleast now onwards for the rest of the two years Oppnosition including Reddi will allow Yeddi to work to his satisfaction so that there will be no sympathy factor for the next elections and people will choose based on development otherwise as said by CM he will be the only choice for people.

BJP BJP Jai Jai BJP. Eth Eth voted sara sara voted. Now some of the commentators will come out with following reasons for BJP's victory.
The most comments common being BJP won due to money power, liquor and are doing caste politics. There were also some of tne new comments last time when BJP won in ZP/TP like some of the minorities names were d from the voters list, Also the silly comments being some of the congress support people are working abroad and were not able to vote this time and as a result BJP won.

It is time Congress change their strategy against the corruption of BJP. They need different state leaders, the ones who can have the stature of SM Krishna. May be it is our own Vinay Kumar Sorake who needs to be given opportunity to lead the Congress party.
