Mangaluru/Udupi, Nov 12: Dakshina Kannada on Saturday, November 12, reported one new coronavirus case while two cases were registered in Udupi.
The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,37,172, out of which 3 are currently active. As many as 1 patient was discharged on November 12.
No deaths were reported on November 12. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,861.
The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authorities.
Positivity rate for the day stood at 0.21 percent.
So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.
Udupi
Two coronavirus cases were reported on November 12. The total active Covid cases are 3.
A total of 10,90,843 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,86,668 have received both doses and 2,98,494 people have received booster doses.
Udupi and Karkala taluk reported one case each which was symptomatic.
