Shivamogga, Nov 14: In yet another incident of faithfulness of canines towards their masters, a pet dog traced its owner who had fallen unconsciously in the forest where he went to collect firewood.
This incident was reported from Soodooru of Hosanagara in the district. Shekharappa, a resident of Soodooru works in a hotel at Ayanoor. He had gone to bring some firewood at around 6 am on Saturday. Usually, he used to return home by 10 am. However, on Saturday Shekharappa did not return for long. Family members of Shekharappa informed the matter to other villagers.
Villagers went into the forest in search of Shekharappa throughout the forest who had gone missing but could not locate him. However, Shekharappa’s pet dog traced the spot where he had fallen and brought the villagers there at around 4 pm.
A sick Shekharappa was immediately rushed to the hospital. It is said that the dog used to accompany Shekharappa everyday to the forest and so it could locate him.
