Mangalore : No Question of Quitting Politics -  Janardhan Poojary

Mangalore, May 15, DHNS : Former MP Janardhan Poojary urged the BJP High Command to change the leadership in Karnataka within 24 hours to avoid ‘Operation Kamala’ and to save the BJP government in Karnataka.

Addressing a press meet here on Saturday, he said with the Supreme Court nullifying the disqualification of 16 rebel MLAs, Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and Speaker K G Bopaiah who recommended the disqualification of MLAs should tender resignation owning accountability.

If the BJP High Command fails to change the leadership, then they will be committing a blunder. If they fail to change the leadership, people will not respect the party. If they continue to support the corrupt Chief Minister, then people of the state will not believe in it. Using the special power, the Governor should dismiss the State government in order to prevent ‘Operation Kamala’ in the state once again, he said.

“I had asked Chief Minister to take a challenge that if all the three by election seats are won by the BJP, then I will quit politics. Unfortunately, the Chief Minister had not accepted the challenge. Hence, there is no question of quitting,” he said.

He said DMK had won all the by elections in Tamil Nadu. However, it reversed during the Assembly elections. Similarly, the BJP and the Yeddyurappa will lose their power in the next election. Byelection is different from Assembly election, he added.

Lauding Mamata Banerjee for her victory in West Bengal, he said she is a powerful woman and she should be given all the credit for the thumping victory.

‘CM most corrupt person in world’

Former MP Janardhan Poojary sarcastically said that Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa should be conferred Bharath Ratna award for being the most corrupt person in the world. He is the most corrupt Chief Minister, the people of Karnataka and the country ever saw in the history, he added.

What do you call Yeddy and sons who is looting the farmers land in the name of denotification?
What do you call Renukacharya, Hallappa?
What do you call R Ashok who also included in Land scam?
The list goes on but lastly what do you say about Mr.Palemar and Nagraj Shetty who is literally looting DK.
Sachidanand Shetty.....Please give some names shall I suggest some for you.

Satish Kunder, Mangalore/Kuwait i agree with you to some extent, but in this case please tell me who started throwing stones at Yeddy with challenge? It was Mr Poojary. In return Yeddy did not comment anything against Mr Poojary. He said that as a senior politician he would respect Mr Poojary a lot. So please appreciate Yeddy also in this matter along with Mr Poojary.

If you take the list of MPs since Mr. Shankar Alva, Mr. Janardhana Poojary stands above all in terms of honesty, capability and his eloquency in the Parliament. He has always stood for weaker and poor sections and never ever afraid to confront the strong and powerful whenever there were wrong doings. This also led to his defeat in the elections but this honest man never changed.

Sometimes as politician you have to be cunning even when you speak but Mr. Poojary always talks straight and if you compare with cunning and corrupt politicians ruling Karnataka today, he is 100 times better.

I can only say that the people who are making sarcastic comments are either hard core BJP supporters or they may not know him fully. Only the people who know him from close quarters are aware of the quality of this man and his simplicity. He has lost many elections in a row due various factors, one of them being the particular group in Congress itself working for his defeat.

One person has equated Poojary to infamous Bihar politician and if it is so what we can say about the present MP from Mangalore who may not be able even to follow the proceedings in Parliament.

It is known facat that every now and then Mr. Janardhana Poojary's statements attracts controversy. But, we have to remember that among the politicians of undivided Dakshina Kannada, Poojary is one of the very few politicians who kept his hands clean. Also, he has helped many poor families during his tennure of MP. He did not get his share of popularity just because - it is politics!

    Dear Mr. Janardhana Poojari,
You better take SANYASA from politics. It was the challenge you offered to BJP when the 3 by-elections were held. You said if BJP wins all the 3 seats, you will retire from politics. Now BJP has won all the 3 seats. Keep-up your words.

Mr Poojary challenged Yeddi to resign only 2 or 3 days after he challenged to take political sanyas himself if BJP wins all the 3 seats not on the same day. So what does this mean Poojariji ? You are known to be man of your words, thats what your Kai Kai Jai Jai supportors call you. Yesteday one of your supportor had mentioned in another forum that Yeddi & speaker has become a laughing stock. I guess this suits you more than Yeddi as he is anyways laughing stock from day 1 so it doesent make much diffrence for him. Yet again you you are making fool of your self in media with your press conference. I guess its high time you should keep a media adviser for you and take his advice before calliing media to confirm what to talk and what not to and avoid any future slip of tongue. You taking political Sanyas will be in the best intrest of congress as there wont be one lobby group less in DK congress & if you play little less vote bank politics there is a slight ray of hope for congress to bounce back again.

Mr. Janardhan Poojary is a spent force today anyways. It hardly matters whether he is in politics or quits politics and the people of the region are aware of this. With regard to his vow that he will quite politics if BJP wins all the 3 recent bye elections which he is now backtracking, he is shameless. If he is a man of words/principles and if has got any self respect left in him (as he has taken the oath of quitting politics publicly on his own), going forward, he should keep his dirty mouth shut and go to a political oblivion.

Ek Poorv Ka Lallu – Lalu Prasad Yadav, Ek Pashchim Ka Lallu – Digvijay Singh, Ek Uttar Ka Lallu – Kapil Sibal and now Ek Dakshin Ka Lallu – Janardhan Poojary

Yesterday he said, every village should have one Temple, One Mosque and One Church at least. Next we have to divide the population in to one third so that people can go to Temple, Mosque and Church equally

As long as like Lalu, Digvijay, Kapil and Poojary are their then there is no need of any anti Hindus we need to destroy our kind religion

Mr Poojary first and foremost tell me who started the challenge? CM in response did not comment anything against you. He said that as a senior member he would respect you a lot. Also inorder to CM accept your challenge, he doesnot have anything to do with you and your challenge. By the way now you that you wont politics. To be frank no one told you to quit politics. You yourself said that you will quit politics if BJP wins all the seats. I can relate CM's response against your challenge like "Silence is the best answer". Result is that BJP won all the three seats.
