Mangaluru/Udupi, Nov 17: Dakshina Kannada reported three coronavirus cases and Udupi adds two coronavirus cases on Thursday, November 17.
The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district stands at 1,37,178 out of which nine are currently active. No patients were discharged on November 17.
No deaths were reported on November 17. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,861.
The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authorities.
So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.
Udupi
Two coronavirus cases were reported on November 17. The total active Covid cases are three.
A total of 10,90,848 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,86,704 have received both doses and 2,98,617 people have received booster doses.
Udupi reported one case, Kundapur one and Karkala added zero.
