Kasargod : Excise officials confiscate Rs 18 lacs Hawala cash from bus passenger

Kasargod, Nov 21: The Manjeshwar station excise department personnel confiscated Rs 18 lacs Hawala cash from a bus passenger here on Tuesday, November 22.

They have detained Nithin (35), a resident of Solhapur in Maharashtra in this connection. The cash was found during the inspection of a KSRTC bus running from Mangaluru to Kasargod. Nithin has said that the cash was given to him by a Maharashtra resident to be handed over to a Kasargod resident.

The cash and the suspect have been handed over to Manjeshwar police for further investigations.

    18 Lacs cash is not allowed ? Some people are spending more than that overnight functions! even some politicians are spending more than 2 lacs a day in a 5 star hotel when they reach Delhi
