Udupi, Nov 28:The administration of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) has ordered an internal inquiry in relation to an incident that happened in one of its institutions of which a video clip went viral on social media.
The video which showed a student objecting to a professor's comments where it was stated that the professor had termed a certain community of people in a bad manner.
As soon as the video went viral on social media, MAHE issued a statement in which the university stated, “The institute has already initiated an inquiry into the incident and the concerned staff has been debarred from classes till the inquiry is over. We would like everyone to know that the institute does not condone this kind of behaviour and this isolated incident will be dealt with in accordance with the laid down policy. The institute prides itself with one of the biggest diversity on campus and is committed to uphold our constitutional values of treating everyone alike, irrespective of their caste, religion, region, gender etc."
