Udupi: Brutal assault on former Udupi CMC president Shanta Naik's husband

Udupi, Dec 15: The husband of former Udupi City Municipal Council president Shanta Naik was brutally assaulted with a gate rod allegedly by a local resident Arjun.

Krishna Naik (50), a resident of Manipal, is the person attacked.

Personal enmity is said to be the cause behind the attack which happened in a house occupied recently by Krishna Naik. Krishna Naik who suffered critical injuries has been admitted to a private hospital.

A case in this connection is registered at Manipal police station.
