Kasargod, Dec 15: A student residing in Paivalike who had gone for Ziarath at Ervadi darga, Tamil Nadu got drowned in a lake and died.
The deceased is Ansaf (18), son of Paivalike Devakkana resident Mohammed Hanif Haji. He was a student at the Malhar educational institute in Manjeshwar.
This tragic incident happened when Ansaf got down into the lake at Ervadi Muthupet for a bath.
Nearly 50 students including Ansaf had gone to various mosques in Tamil Nadu for Ziarath three days ago. Ansaf drowned when he got down into the lake for a bath with other students on Thursday.
Fire brigade personnel who arrived at the spot retrieved his mortal remains.
