Mangaluru: Some 'dissatisfied souls' spreading false news – Pachanady corporator Sangeetha Nayak

Mangaluru, Dec 17: Corporator Sangeetha R Nayak on Saturday December 17 alleged that some 'dissatisfied souls' were spreading rumours and giving misleading statements against her and her husband over the land dispute in Pachanady.

Addressing a press meet here she said several development works had been carried out in her ward after she became a corporator. Former MLA Mohiuddin Bava had alleged that her husband was interfering in her political affairs, which was not true, she said.

She also added that she received a call from one Maxim to visit the disputed site. “One Mohan Pachanady who is politically against me is trying to curb us by spreading fake news. As it was necessary I had taken my husband to the spot and also I did not know how to drive a car. When I visited the spot, there were stones and soil there,” she said.

“Being a corporator, I work for a public cause. Why did not the Congress government nor the former corporator of the area develop the place as a ground?” she questioned.

“The people who are alleging that the land mafia is in my ward should prove their allegations. Mohan Pachanady is behaving so out of frustration. He had abused my husband and me,” corporator Sangeetha charged.
