Kundapur, Dec 18: A rider of a motorcycle was killed after colliding with another bike and then coming under the wheels of a moving car at Uppladi near Bannadi.
Gangadhara Punekar (22), native of Gadag and working in a stone quarry at Althare, is the deceased. Gangadhar was going to his house at Saibrakatte after finishing his Karate training at Kundapur. His bike collided with an oncoming bike and Gangadhar fell on the road and was run over by a car that was moving from Bannadi to Kota.
The car driver has filed a complaint that the negligence of the bike rider is the cause of the accident. However, Gangadhar's brother has filed a counter complaint accusing the car driver of negligence.
Kota station inspector Madhu B visited the spot and is investigating further.
