Kadaba, Dec 22: A man, native of the taluk, who was on Umrah pilgrimage died at Mecca, holy place of Muslims on December 20.
The deceased is identified as Aboobacker (65), a resident of Kodimbala in the taluk, who was an auto driver by profession.
Aboobacker developed chest pain at Mecca as he was on the Umrah pilgrimage with a team of 40 people, along with his wife. Though he was taken to a local hospital, he died.
It is believed in Islam that dying during Umrah and Hajj pilgrimage is very rare and leads to salvation. Family members have decided to bury the mortal remains of deceased Aboobacker in Mecca itself.
