Beltangady, Dec 25: One person was killed in a road accident on Saturday, December 24 in the morning near Malebettu of Koyyuru village following a head-on collision between a goods auto and a school bus.
The deceased has been identified as Razak (50), a resident of Pilichamundikallu of Kuvettu village. He was in the goods auto when the accident occurred.
Auto driver Haneef (48), a resident of Pilichamundikallu of Kuvettu village and K Mohammed (57), a resident of Panakajee were seriously injured in the accident. They were rushed to a private hospital in Mangaluru.
The accident occurred when the Ujire-bound school bus collided against the goods auto. when the school bus was moving from Beltangady towards Koyyuru.
The goods auto got mangled due to the impact of the accident. The traffic police visited the spot of the accident and have registered a case.
