Beltangady: Vegetable transporting vehicle hits two-wheeler, rider dies

Beltangady, Dec 25: The rider of a two-wheeler was killed after a vehicle returning after unloading vegetables collided with his bike at Kashibettu in the evening on Sunday, December 25.

Purushotham Poojary (20), a resident of Charmadi village, Belthangady was the deceased.

The two-wheeler was plying from Ujire to Belthangady when the vehicle returning to Chikkamagalur after unloading vegetables collided with it. The two-wheeler rider was thrown to the road due to the impact of the collision and suffered critical injuries. He was rushed to a hospital but he died without responding to the treatment.

His mortal remains are kept at Belthangady government hospital morgue. A case in this connection is registered at Belthangady traffic police station.
