New Delhi: Covid variant scare – Demand for booster dose rises

New Delhi, Dec 27: People are thronging government Covid vaccination centres for the past four to five days to get booster dose. According to statistics, rush is more in government hospitals than private ones.

According to official information, on December 24, vaccination doses crossed 2000 per day in highest in the past one month. 2139 people took booster dose on that day. Out of these 1681 were precautionary doses.

On an average, 700 to 900 people are taking Covid vaccination doses. On December 22, 1516 people received Covid dose, while on December 23 the number rose to 1482. Out of these 1238 and 1212 were booster doses respectively.
