Mangaluru: Sixth standard student dies of headache, fever

Mangaluru, Dec 29: A sixth standard student of Ullal died after suffering from  headache and fever for the last two days. He is suspected to have died of brain fever.

The deceased was Ashwith, a sixth standard student of Uchila Bovi English Medium School. He had made preparations to participate in the school anniversary skit to be held on Friday, December 30.

The school administration, his family and local people are in grief because of his unexpected death. His father had died in an accident two years ago. He was staying with his mother at Kolya Saraswath colony. He was talented in school and was loved by his teachers.

It is said that he had symptoms of brain fever at the last moment. It is not known if he was vaccinated for brain fever. Expert doctors are investigating the matter. His last rites were held on Thursday afternoon and all the villagers were seen weeping giving him a tearful farewell.
