Mangaluru Dec 29: K Ullas Kamath, founder, UK and Co and chairman, Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Karnataka State Council, inaugurated the 37th Expert Day celebration of Expert PU College, Valachil on Thursday, December 29.
Speaking on the occasion, K Ullas Kamath said, "Students need to develop discipline, be focused and put all their efforts to reach their goals. Students need to take five years for learning, five years for supervising, five years for managing and next five to lead. But you need to come back to society as society needs you. Never stop studying in life. Give your best efforts and there should be no regrets."
Chairman of Expert Institutions, Prof Narendra L Nayak said, "Discipline is the best way to manage studies, time, class and you will get time for everything when you are disciplined. Students need to keep up the determination for being on stage and get honoured for their achievements."
Vice chairperson of Expert Institutions, Dr Ushaprabha N Nayak said, "Students need to remember that success is not free. You need to pay for it. Achieve your dreams and also make the payback fee demanded by your success. Expert exists because of the team effort. It is not a self made institutions. It is because of the faculty, non-teaching staffs who have been serving the institution from the last 36 years. Students need to believe in themselves, believe in their dreams and develop personal skills to achieve something."
Meanwhile, the rank holders were feted. Vice principal of academics Subramanya Udupa presented the annual report of the college.
Earlier in the day, a flag hoisting ceremony was held at Valachil Expert PU College campus. Oncologist and alumni of Expert College, Dr Hemanth Kumar was the chief guest for the flag hoisting ceremony.
The formal function was followed by a cultural event.
Principal of Expert Kodialbail campus, Ramachandra Bhat, director of IT, Expert Group of Institutions, Ankush Nayak, architect Deepika Nayak, CA S S Nayak, auditor Jagannath Kamath, trustee Ustad Rafiq Khan, Student Council president Ayush and secretary Vaishnavi Kulkarni were also present.
Principal, Expert Valachil campus, Dr N K Vijayan Karippal welcomed the gathering, Program director Dhruthi V Hegde proposed a vote of thanks. Misti Nanjappa and Sri Krishna compered the event.
