Mandya: Prowling leopard in tourist spot trapped after 3 months by forest authorities

Mandya, Dec 29 (IANS): Forest authorities have been successful in trapping the prowling leopard in the premises of Krishna Raja Sagar dam and famous tourist destination Brindavan Garden in Mandya district of Karnataka on Thursday.

The prowling leopard was caught after continuous operations for three months. The leopard had forced the authorities to close down Brindavan Garden and KRS dam to visitors for months.

The authorities kept cages at strategic points to trap the leopard. Finally, the leopard was trapped into a cage kept at the North Gate of VC Canal. The authorities have said that it is a five-year-old female leopard.

The leopard was spotted four times in the premises. The authorities took the matter seriously and placed 10 cages to trap it. More than 60 CCTV cameras were installed to track the movements of the big cat.

The trapped leopard will be relocated to the Bandipur or Nagarahole reserve forest areas. However, it is suspected that two leopards are staying in the region and authorities have continued the operations.

    "Merimajal" nei re the......have aikallya bhashen meramajal.....I know you will never write mistakes.....something must have striked in your super duper very extraordinary brain so you put "i" there. I cannot guess whats merimajal. Why kirem ? Directly why not Belman ? Manipal ?? MIT ??? Bejai, hat hill ???? Usa ????? Kuwait ?????? Canada ??????? Germany ???????? Before concluding i want the answer what are you eating so that your brain is soo sharp and full of intelligence? (Saudi honey, khane khane pe likha he ....such answers strictly "no no"🤞)

    Langooji Belman /USA we have enough in Mermajal and in Belman/Nandalike.So thought of exporting to USA ..what do you say ?In Pilarkhan there were previously tigers.so they may kill leopards.
