Bengaluru, Dec 30: The government has taken the decision to reduce the electricity adjustment expense reduction under the limits of Bescom and Mescoms.
Under the limits of Bescom, there will be a reduction of 37 paise while under Mescom limits, it will be 39 paise. The benefit of this will be directly available to the consumers.
The authority has noted reduction in the overall fuel and electricity buying expenses in the second trimester (July 2022-September 2022) in accordance with the KERC (fuel and electricity buying expenses adjustment) Rules-2022 and the amendments of the same.
It is decided to reduce 37 paise per unit during the billing period of January 1 to March 31.
