Kasargod, Jan 1: In a joint operation that was carried out at Kannur international airport by DRI and customs departments, 1.241 kg of gold was confiscated.
The value of the confiscated gold is Rs 66 lacs. Kunnil Aboobacker of Bekal has been taken into custody in this connection and interrogation is in progress.
Accused Aboobacker had arrived at the Kannur airport via Air India Express flight from Dubai.
